What is a simplified joint stock company?
The SAS is a société par actions simplifiéeThis is a form of commercial company which allows partners to limit their liability to the amount of their contributions.
The SASU, for its part, is a single-member simplified joint stock company i.e. it is formed by a single partner. Its share capital can be set up with no minimum threshold.
The challenges of the simplified joint stock company
The société par actions simplifiée has many advantages. The first of these is the flexibility in drafting the articles of association. Indeed, the provisions of the Commercial Code give SAS shareholders a great deal of freedom in the organisation of the company.
The possibility of granting stock options to the company's managers and/or employees is also a major advantage of the simplified joint stock company.
In addition, the simplified joint stock company is a company with particular credibility, especially with banks.
Composition of the model
